REGULATION OF RATIO OF LAP TO LIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant gene vector and a nucleic acid construct capable of decreasing, reducing or suppressing the transcription/translation of LIP (transcription inhibitor protein) without affecting the transcription/translation of LAP (transcription activator).

SOLUTION: Such vectors and constructs are used in a method for increasing the ratio of LAP/LIP in a cell and for treating and/or ameliorating the symptoms of a disease or condition associated with the ratio of LAP/LIP. Moreover, a method for screening agents capable of modifying the ratio of LAP/LIP activity in a cell or individual is provided.
