Image-forming medium (3) is carried by and on a rotor, e.g. a disc. Whilst turning, it passes continuously through a gap between a laser beam source (2) and the cylindrical printing plate (1). Before passing through the gap, the rotor passes through a supply unit (4) to load it with the medium. An independent claim is included for corresponding equipment.
