PURPOSE: A device for editing a screen in a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to display an edition function corresponding to a selected basic framework on a display, and to enable a user to edit the basic framework, thereby enabling the user to directly edit and display a desired screen. CONSTITUTION: A controller(100) divides at least more than one basic framework for each component shown on a screen of a display(140), and displays an editing function corresponding to a selected basic framework on the display(140) if a user selects the basic framework, then enables the user to edit the selected basic framework. An interface(120) inputs the selected editing function corresponding to the at least more than one basic framework from the user, and supplies the inputted editing function to the controller(100). The basic framework is one of picture, character, and time frameworks. The basic framework is added by the user.
