PURPOSE: A detergent input device for a washing machine is provided to prevent breakage of a detergent amount detecting sensor by moving and cleaning a detergent box easily with modifying the installation position of the detergent amount detecting sensor, and to cut down expenses by separating the detergent amount detecting sensor from the detergent box. CONSTITUTION: A detergent input device includes a detergent box(50) inserted to a body case(10) and attached and detached from the body case; a detergent supply passage(60) installed in the lower part of the detergent box to supply detergent from the detergent box to a washing tub; and a detergent amount detecting sensor(70) formed at the side of the detergent box to detect the remaining amount of detergent in the detergent box. The detergent amount detecting sensor is installed outside the detergent box to move and clean the detergent box easily. A sensor installation part is formed outside the detergent box to space the detergent amount detecting sensor from the detergent box. |
