PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an integral valve seat having superior heat resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance by laser cladding a metal powder composition containing Ni, Cr, Mn, Si and Fe is provided, and a Ni-Cr based metal powder composition for the engine valve seat manufactured by the method is provided. CONSTITUTION: The metal powder composition for valve seat comprises 36 to 40 wt.% of Ni, 15 to 19 wt.% of Cr, 1 to 3 wt.% of Mn, 1 to 3 wt.% of Si and 40 to 45 wt.% of Fe. The method comprises the processes of injecting a mixed metal powder containing 36 to 40 wt.% of Ni, 15 to 19 wt.% of Cr, 1 to 3 wt.% of Mn, 1 to 3 wt.% of Si and 40 to 45 wt.% of Fe into a matrix of cylinder head; and irradiating a laser beam onto the mixed metal powder injected into the matrix of the cylinder head so that the mixed metal powder injected into the matrix of the cylinder head is cladded.
