PURPOSE: A direct coupled motor is provided to reduce noises and power losses by permitting the driving force of motor to be directly transmitted to the drum. CONSTITUTION: A direct coupled motor(5) comprises a stator(14) and a rotor(13) covering the stator. The rotor includes a rear wall(13a) made of a steel material and a side wall(13b) formed integrally with the rear wall and made of a steel material. The rear wall has a certain part which is bent to form a cooling fin(133) directed toward the stator inserted into the aperture of the rotor. A through hole(134) formed by bending the rear wall. The rear wall, the side wall and the cooling fin are arranged integrally with each other.
