PURPOSE: A method of selectively recording digital contents and a user interface providing method for the recording method are provided to selectively store audio data, video data and text data included in digital contents to be reservation-recorded. CONSTITUTION: Electronic program guide information is generated. Broadcasting contents a user wants to reservation-record is selected with reference to the generated electronic program guide. A list of the selected broadcasting contents is displayed. Data of the broadcasting contents the user wants to record is selected from the list. A user interface having a reservation recording display function for an electronic program guide includes a check box capable of selecting data of digital contents, which is reservation-recorded. The data includes audio data, video data and text data.
