PURPOSE: A method for preparing a phenoxyacetamide derivative is provided to minimize the production of by-products and to obtain the desired product with a high yield. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing a phenoxyacetamide derivative of the formula 1 comprises the steps of: dehalogenating the compound of the formula 3, wherein X represent Cl, Br or I. In particular, the dehalogenation reaction comprises the reaction of the compound of the formula 3 with a reducing agent selected from the group consisting of zinc and sodium borohydride, in the presence of a solvent selected from the group consisting of tetrahydrofuran, 1,4-dioxane and hexamethylphosphotriamide.
