PURPOSE: A welding state checking apparatus used in a laser welder is provided to fabricate the welding state checking apparatus at low cost and to allow a worker to visually check the welding state in real time. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic member(10) is detachably coupled to a welding head. First ends of first and second flexible arms(20,22) are vertically fixed to the magnetic member(10). A cable(50) is accommodated in the first and second flexible arms(20,22) in order to generate an electric signal. A supporter(12) is provided between the first and second flexible arms(20,22) so as to change a direction of the second flexible arm(22). An auxiliary flash shielding plate(30) is electrically connected to a cable(50) so as to shield a flash generated during the welding work. First and second illumination lamps are coupled to both sides of an under surface of the auxiliary flash shielding plate(30). An opening/closing controller provides opening/closing pulse, which is synchronized with trigger pulse, to a protective glass(40).
