The automobile comprises an opening (100) cut in the roof (1), a mobile curtain (2), a sliding panel (3) and a single motor for activating the curtain and panel. The curtain is wound on a drum (21) fixed relative to the roof and has an edge traction bar (22). The panel opens whilst the panel remains closed and the panel opens whilst the curtain is open. The curtain is held closed by two driving points against a spring which winds it on the drum so that the panel can be maneuvered by two other driving points which are displaced in the same way as the first.
