Method of treating body insect infestation using a low surface tension lubricant

Insect infestations of a body, both in mature and immature forms can be treated by topically applying a composition containing at least 40% of a synthetic lubricant to the infestation, which has a surface tension of up to 25 dynes/centimetre at 20oC and allowing the composition to remain on the infestation fro at least 5 minutes. The synthetic lubricant can be dimethylpolysiloxane.
