摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable power unit for a motorcycle having an engine with a crankshaft arranged in the cross direction of a body frame and a power transmission device including a V-belt automatic transmission, provided between the crankshaft and an axle of a rear wheel, allowing the V-belt automatic transmission to be arranged at an upper position while maintaining ride comfort with the gravity center of the engine avoided from being higher. SOLUTION: The V-belt automatic transmission 48 has a drive pulley shaft 60 having an axis parallel to the crankshaft 17, spaced from the crankshaft 17 in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the crankshaft 17, and a driven pulley shaft 61 having an axis parallel to the drive pulley shaft 60. In a side view of the motorcycle, the drive pulley shaft 60 and the driven pulley shaft 61 are arranged above a line L connecting the crankshaft 17 to the axle 16 of the rear wheel WR.
