<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wayside area information guidance system, a portable receiver and a wayside information guidance method which effectively inform passengers in a transporting means of the introduction of landscapes seen from the wayside or information of entertainment programs on the wayside, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A contents distributor 11 in a train 10 receives contents information concerning the sideway area of the train 10 from a server 2 in a contents distribution center 1 and records the information on a database 20. The train 10 has a position measuring function 11b for measuring the present position of the train 10 itself, selects contents fit to the present position from the database 20 in accordance of the running of the train 10, displays image information of the selected contents on a display panel 12, and sends sound information to a portable receiver 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
