PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic pressure gas bearing of a large load capacity and a favorable rotation precision. SOLUTION: This dynamic pressure gas bearing 4 comprises a fixed side shaft body 11 comprising a columnar part 14, and a support shaft part 15 protruded from the center of its upper and lower surfaces 14a and 14b, and a rotation side shaft body 12 having a circular space chamber 16a surrounding the upper and the lower surfaces 14a and 14b, and an outer circumferential surface 14c of the columnar part 14 at a prescribed interval from it. An air vent hole 13 to introduce air toward between the columnar part 14 and the circular space chamber 16a is formed in the fixed side shaft body 11. Radial dynamic pressure grooves 21a and 21b to feed air introduced from the air vent hole 13 to an upper and a lower end edge parts under pressure are formed in the outer circumferential surface 14c of the columnar part 14. Thrust dynamic pressure grooves 22a and 22b to introduce air to the outer circumferential edge part side of a center part are formed in the upper and the lower surfaces 14a and 14b.
