PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle composition used for manufacture of a liquid crystal display comprising particles for spacers and a solvent and imparting a liquid crystal display excellent in display performance such as image quality, when the spraying liquid is sprayed on a prescribed position on a substrate to arrange the particles on the position, and a liquid crystal display is obtained, and also to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display including a step for spraying the particle composition by an ink jet system. SOLUTION: The particle composition comprising particles for spacers of a liquid crystal display and a solvent and used for arranging the particles on a prescribed position on a substrate used in the display by spraying on the position has≤5 wt.% water content.
