PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal monitor which reduces thickness, narrows the picture frame size and attains downsizing. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal monitor using a liquid crystal module with a direct backlight, a mounting part of the liquid crystal module 13 and a liquid crystal monitor member 12 is provided on a reflection plate 8 of the direct backlight forming the liquid crystal module 13. The mounting part is formed with a reflection plate extension portion 11a comprising a base of the reflection plate 8 extended toward a space portion between an inclined plane of the reflection plate and an upper flame 2 of the liquid crystal module 13 and is characterized by having the liquid crystal monitor member 12 fixed to the reflection plate extension portion 11a with a screw 7d. Thus by utilizing the space adjacent to the inclined plane of the reflection plate, the liquid crystal monitor with reduced thickness, a small size and a narrow picture frame size is provided.
