The aim of the invention is to create a floor-supporting arrangement in motor vehicles, which ensures optimal deformation freedom of the foot space of the passenger cell at a high degree of inherent stiffness in the event of a crash, particularly a head-on collision, while substantially limiting force absorption and force transfer to areas below and behind the passenger cell. Said aim is essentially achieved by a special arrangement of the longitudinal beams (1), the crossbeam (7) of the floor, and the sills (6) relative to each other and by a special connection of said elements among each other.
