PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle remote control system capable of increasing a reliability.

SOLUTION: A communication control device 21 outputs a vehicle outside start signal or a vehicle outside request signal from a vehicle outside transmission circuit 22 to the periphery of a vehicle 2, and outputs a cabin start signal or a cabin request signal from a cabin transmission circuit 25 to the cabin of the vehicle 2. Also, a microcomputer 27 performs the output control of the start signals, and also performs a door lock locking and unlocking control or an engine start permission control under the conditions that the microcomputer receives a response signal and an ID code signal transmitted from the portable machine 11. The portable machine 11 transmits the response signal upon receipt of the start signals, and transmits the ID code signal upon the receipt of the request signals. Then, the microcomputer 17 of the portable machine 11 operates an attenuator 13 upon the receipt of the cabin start signal to lower the receiving sensitivity of the receiving circuit 12. The portable machine 11 allows the mutual communication with the communication control device 21 only in the cabin of the vehicle 2.
