<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boron carbide-chromium diboride sintered compact sintered at a non-pressurized condition and having high density, high conductivity, high bending strength and high fracture toughness and its manufacturing method and to obtain a wear-resistant component. <P>SOLUTION: A source material powder which is a mixture of a boron carbide powder whose mean particle diameter (D<SB>50</SB>) is 2 μm or less and whose specific surface area is 10 m<SP>2</SP>/g or more with a chromium diboride powder of 10-25 mol% is molded and heated to 1,950-2,100°C at a non-oxidizing atmosphere and the non-pressurized condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
