摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always equalize capacity of each cell in a battery pack composed by connecting a plurality of cells in series to and in parallel with one another. SOLUTION: When the battery pack is in a chargeable and dischargeable state by being connected to a load, in the case that the non-load state of the battery pack continues for a predetermined period or more, and the average charge capacity of all the cells of the battery pack or all the parallel block cells varies by a predetermined amount or more from the average charge capacity of all the cells or all the parallel block cells in setting the previous capacity adjustment condition, a capacity adjustment condition is set again by detecting the charge capacity of each cell or each parallel block cell of the battery pack. When the battery pack is being charged with a charging device, in the case that the average charge capacity of all the cells of the battery pack or all the parallel block cells varies by a predetermined amount or more from the average charge capacity of all the cells or all the parallel block cells in setting the previous capacity adjustment condition, a charging current of the charging device is set to zero, the capacity adjustment condition is set again by detecting the charge capacity of each cell or each parallel block cell of the battery pack, and thereafter charging by the charging device is restarted.
