PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector in which intrusion of liquid between a liquid ejection head and swash plate is reduced and the liquid intruding between the liquid ejection head and the swash plate is prevented from advancing to other parts. SOLUTION: A carriage 14 carrying a recording head 20 is provided with a swash plate 23 through a space S from the recording head 20. The swash plate 23 has a face 23 inclining upward as receding from the recording head 20 and is provided, on the recording head 20 side thereof, with a protrusion 23a becoming the lowermost part when the plate 23 is fixed to the carriage 14.
