PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater capable of preventing drop of water temperature caused by feeding of water even when hot water is let out intermittently in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The electric water boiler comprises a water heating container 1, a heating means 2, a water quantity detecting means 6 for detecting the water quantity inside the water boiling container, a hot-water discharge means 3 for discharging hot water inside the water boiling container, a supply water container 7 for storing water, and a water feeding means 8 for feeding water in the supply water container to the water boiling container. In the water boiler, water feeding by the water feeding means 8 is prohibited for a prescribed period of time from the time when it is detected by the water quantity detecting means 6 that the quantity of hot water warmed in the water boiling container is less than the quantity of water when the water feeding is started. Accordingly, the drop of temperature of hot water caused by the water feeding by the water feeding means 8 can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
