<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which obtains a high productivity system and obtains a new functional system by increasing extensibility. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus including at least one scanner unit, a scanner image processing unit, a printer control unit, a plotter unit and a plotter image processing unit, the scanner unit 1 is connected to the scanner image processing unit 2 via a dedicated bus, the plotter image processing unit 4 is connected to the plotter unit 5 via the dedicated bus, and the scanner image processing unit 2, the printer control unit 3, and the plotter image processing unit 4 are connected to a packet switch network 8 having the function of routing packet data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
