<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing method improving the safety of document data in a document processing job. <P>SOLUTION: A data processing system 10 and the method provide a operation mode to improve the safety for access to the document data processed in the system 10, in any of the job of scanning, copying, printing, and faxing. In an operation mode for improving the security, (1) access to the document data from the outside world (network 28, telephone line 24)is blocked when processing the document data, (2) storing of the document data to a hard drive device 12b is prevented, (3) all the document data temporarily stored in a random access memory 12c are destructed after the job and before the restoration of connection to the outside world. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
