<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow each router to be devoted to an original route control processing by removing a load on calculating the shortest route from each router. <P>SOLUTION: A route calculating device 200 is arranged separately from the routers 101, 102, and 103, as the device devoted to the processing to calculate the shortest routes based on data indicating a link state (a link state database 1). The routers 101, 102, and 103 are dedicated to the original route control processing from which the load on calculating the shortest routes is removed by the existence of the route calculating device 200.
