<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for transmitting more information in the same frequency band by solving the problem that a transmission information amount cannot be increased when a frequency band is limited in a transmitter for transmitting a digital signal. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver for receiving a terrestrial digital broadcast signal and a satellite digital broadcast signal is provided with a first demodulating unit for demodulating the satellite digital broadcast signal, and a second demodulating unit for demodulating the terrestrial digital broadcast signal. The terrestrial digital broadcast signal contains a first data row and a second data row.
