PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element for delivering a plurality of functions in an optical pickup apparatus recording and / or reproducing an optical disk, an objective lens, a coupling lens, a manufacturing method of them, and the optical pickup device.

SOLUTION: The composite function optical element 13 is applicable to optical pickup apparatuses for performing at least either of recording and reproduction of optical disks and has a structure of generating a plurality of beams and a structure of causing astigmatism so that the single optical element has a plurality of functions.
