<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system capable of dealing with function modification and function improvement even when it is difficult to detach a microcomputer IC from a board. <P>SOLUTION: The computer system using the microcomputer IC 2 having a built-in ROM storing a processing program and a CPU in one chip is provided with a flash memory 3 connected to the CPU through an IC socket 4 and storing a processing program, and a switch 5 for selectively giving binary control information to the CPU.
