PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage power supply unit for restraining overshoot generated while turning on high-voltage output. SOLUTION: This high-voltage power supply unit comprises a transforming means 2 for generating high-voltage output; a voltage dividing means 3 of fetching the high-voltage output as a low-voltage value; a computing means 14 of computing the voltage-divided value obtained from the voltage dividing means 3 and obtaining a correction value for correcting an output to the transforming means 2; a plurality of driving means 12 of driving the transforming mans; and a switching means 11 of switching the driving means 12 according to the correction value.
