PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ideal brush bristle material, having higher elastic recovery as compared with the conventional nylon, having low hygroscopic property and having excellent touch feeling. SOLUTION: In this high-performance brush planted with brush bristles of synthetic polymers, a filament of the brush bristle is a composite thread formed by a core component and a sheath component. The core component is composed mainly of polypropylene terephthalate and the sheath component is composed mainly of polyamide. Further preferably, the brush bristle is subjected to heat treatment.
