<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system capable of transmitting an information signal such as image or voice with required and sufficient quality. <P>SOLUTION: In the information transmission system, an information signal 100 is converted into a prescribed transmission signal in a transmitter side 101, and is transmitted to a receiver side 106 via a transmission line 105. The transmission signal is converted into an information signal in the receiver side 106. In this system, the number of transmission lines is decided by transmitting/receiving signals between the transmitter side 101 and the receiver side 106. In the transmitter side 101, a divider 102 divides the information signal 100 into the information signals of the same number of channels as the decided line number, and the code strings of a plurality of channels are transmitted to the receiver side 106 via an encoder 103, a transmitter 104 and the transmission line 105. In the receiver side 106, the transmitted code strings of the plurality of channels are converted into information signals via a receiver 107 and a decoder 108, and the signals are combined by a combiner 109 to obtain a reproduction information signal 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
