PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a synchronized and smooth system change of cluster-configured machines while eliminating the need for preparing an exclusive line for health check. SOLUTION: In nodes connected to a network in a cluster configuration, when a failure monitor 112 in an ACK system node 1-1 detects a failure in its own node by health check using a local address, a system changer 111 releases a portable IP address being used in an IP floating section 113 to separate the own node from the network. An SBY system node 1-2, when detecting a failure in the ACT system (another node) by the health check using the local address, causes the IP floating section 113 to inherit the portable IP address and changes the own node to the SCT system.
