<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-resisting agent which can increase light fastness without reducing a recording density, coloring property and water-resistance of an inkjet recording material, and the inkjet recording material including the water-resisting agent. <P>SOLUTION: This water-resisting agent for an inkjet recording material contains a cationic polymer.
