PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure capable of certainly mounting and simply removing an air bag unit to a steering wheel. SOLUTION: The mounting structure for an air bag unit includes a mounting plate 11 having a plurality of holes 21, 22, 23, 24 to which a plurality of legs of the air bag unit (including a gas generator) are inserted. A spring 31 is provided on this plate and is provided with a first part 32 having two forwardly projecting arm parts 33, 34. The two arm parts are engaged with hanging down parts 25, 26, 27, 28 hanging down from the plate. The spring is engaged with the leg in the state that it crosses the holes 21, 22, 23, 24. When the spring is moved by a tool, the arm parts 33, 34 are guided by the hanging parts and are deviated from the holes 22, 23. Thus, the gas generator can be removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
