PRINTING PLATE MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate material capable of directly making a plate from digital data using a compact device easy to handle and made repeatedly usable by regeneration.

SOLUTION: A nitrogen-containing type titanium oxide photocatalyst responding not only to ultraviolet rays but also to visible light is added to the layer forming the surface of the plate material 5. The plate material 5 is made repeatedly usable by the writing of an image on the surface of the plate material 5 by the irradiation with visible light and by the surface regeneration of the plate material 5 by the erasure of the written image.
