PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera 1 which surely transmits image data of an image requested from the outside to the end to outside, while making continuous photographing. SOLUTION: The digital camera 1 executes, in a multiple process manner a photograph process of writing image data of the latest image taken by a CCD 11 in a buffer 16, a recording process of recording image data read from the buffer 16 on an HDD unit 14, and a transmission process of transmitting the image data to the outside upon the receipt of an image data request from the outside. Upon the receipt of the image data request from the outside, the camera 1 reads the image data of the image requested to send from the HDD unit 14 and transmits the data to the outside.
