PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample transfer head for a testing device capable of performing surely transfer to sample grip parts, grip operations of a test sample and removal of a rupture test sample after test, and automating material testing. SOLUTION: In suction and hold of the test sample 12, the sample transfer head 10 for the testing device of this invention sucks air through head sample suction holes 18 provided on a surface of a transfer head main body 13. In grip to upper, lower automatic grip chuck parts 4A, 4B, attitudes of tab parts 12a, 12b on both end sides of the test sample 12 are held vertical by sending the air at the same time through upper, lower supply openings 21a, 22a and upper, lower air ports 24, 25 after protruding upper, lower plungers 21, 22. In disposal of ruptured test sample pieces, ruptured samples are sucked and held by sucking the air with suction power greater than suction by the head sample suction holes 18 through ruptured sample suction ports 28, 29 respectively provided on upper, lower end parts on the surface of the transfer head main body 13.
