PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrel bolt lock allowing a drop bar to be locked in an optional drop position and extremely easy to operate in locking and unlocking the drop bar. SOLUTION: This barrel bolt lock comprises a base 2 formed with first engaging parts 2c, 2d along a vertical direction; a slider 3 movable along the base 2, formed with second engaging parts 7d, 7e and provided with the drop bar 4 on the lower end side; and a knob member 5 connected to the slider 3. The knob member 5 comprises a first knob member 8 connected to the slider 3 through a connecting member 6, and a slidable second knob member 9 disposed between the base 2 and the first knob member 8. Run-on step parts 9d-9f are formed at the second knob member 9, on the side facing the first knob member. The second knob member 9 is vertically slid to allow the run-on step parts 9d-9f to enter the first knob member 8 side. The slider 3 is thereby drawn near the base 2 side, engaged with the first engaging parts 2c, 2d of the base 2 and fixed in an immobile state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
