PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic having excellent emulsion stability. SOLUTION: This water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic contains a component (A) of a carboxyvinyl polymer and/or an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer, and a component (B) of a hydrophobized silica powder, a spherical powder of an organopolysiloxane elastomer, or a fatty acid ester of dextrin.
