PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile seat having a center-foldable seat back and having an active headrest. SOLUTION: In the automobile seat 1, an upper seat back 11 is turnable into forward slant with respect to a lower seat back 10, and a head rest 7 is supported on a top of the upper seat back 11. The lower seat back 10 has a pressure receiving member 12 at a position where it may be subject to pressure of a back of an occupant. The upper seat back 11 is constructed to be turnable into forward slant along with the head rest 7 by actuation means when load larger than a predetermined value, such as reaction load by the occupant due to a rear-end collision, acts on the pressure receiving member 12.
