PURPOSE: A movement restricting device of a tonneau cover for a vehicle is provided to install and separate the tonneau cover conveniently with elastic force of a hook by turning movement restricting rods at both sides of a U-shaped containing groove, and to prevent noise or displacement of the tonneau cover by restricting deformation of the hook in operating a screen or during traveling on the rough road. CONSTITUTION: A tonneau cover comprises a tonneau fixing unit(1) composed of a U-shaped containing groove(11) and installed longitudinally in the rear part of a rear seat; a U-shaped hook(2) composed of a fitting projection(21) and fixed to the U-shaped containing groove to fix a side cover(4) of a tonneau; a screen(3) wound on a shaft(31) having a retractor for automatically winding the screen and selectively pulled to cover luggage in the tonneau; and the side cover having a fixing groove(41) fitting the fitting projection of the hook and surrounding the screen. Movement restricting rods(5) are turned and installed at both sides of the U-shaped containing groove of the tonneau fixing unit, and composed of cut surfaces(51) by cutting the rod partially.
