Patch antenna for the microwave range

The antenna has at least one patch-pattern resonator with a metallic patch pattern and a ground metallization. A guide is provided for supplying electromagnetic energy. The guide includes a least one first metallization piece (17) which extends on one first side surface of the resonator between the ground metallization and the metallic patch pattern. The input impedance of the antenna is varied by changing the dimension of this metallization piece. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a printed circuit board for surface mount devices (b) a mobile telecommunications device for dual or multi-band operation.
