FIELD: cooling equipment, particularly evaporators for cooling machines. SUBSTANCE: evaporator has at least two packs of finned plates. Packs have alternating channels for coolant and medium to be cooled. Corrugated inserts are placed into the channels. Corrugated inserts form parallel cells. Channels for coolant are connected by lower ends with distributive header and by upper ends with collecting header. Draining chamber for non-evaporated coolant from collecting header to distributive header is firmed between packs. Draining chamber communicate with collecting header and distributive header. Baffle installed in collecting header is located above draining chamber and connected to vapor-removal pipe, which is also arranged in collecting header. Each coolant cell has hydraulic diameter from 0.5 to 3.0 mm. Minimum diameter of draining chamber is not less than 10 hydraulic cell diameters. EFFECT: increased efficiency. 5 cl, 6 dwg |
