DYEING METHOD OF LEATHER USING NATURAL DYES

PURPOSE: A dyeing method of leather is characterized by using natural dyes, dyeing the leather with a drum method, fixing dyes with a pre-mordant method or a post-mordant method, increasing fastness by adding a UV blocker, and extending range of natural dyeing. CONSTITUTION: A dyeing method of leather using natural dyes comprises the steps of: tanning and shaving natural leather; retanning the leather in a drum; dissolving 0.1-20.0pts.wt. of natural dyes; putting the dyes and the leather into the drum filled with water; rotating the drum at 10-100deg.C for 10min.-24hrs. to dye; putting a mordant into the drum, and rotating the drum to fix the dyes; testing light fastness, abrasion resistance and color fastness of the leather; and then adding the UV blocker.
