PURPOSE: A device for regulating positions of a grinding stone of a roll grinder is provided to induce an effective autogenous action of the grinding stone by diversely regulating moving directions of the grinding stone, to prevent marks from being generated on a rolled surface, and accordingly to improve quality of products. CONSTITUTION: A device for regulating positions of a grinding stone(8) of a roll grinder is composed of a horizontal-movable plate(120) mounted to move in the longitudinal direction of a roll along a guide rail(111) formed on the upside of a base(110); a vertical-movable plate(130) installed to move in the horizontal direction of the roll along a guide rail(121) formed on the upside of the horizontal-movable plate; a rotary plate(140) rotatively disposed to the upside of the vertical-movable plate by a shaft(141); a semi-circle driven gear(150) formed at the side of the rotary plate to rotate the rotary plate at a constant angle; a driving gear(151) connected to a driving motor(152) and installed to the vertical-movable plate by a shaft(151a) to engage with the semi-circle driven gear; the grinding stone installed to the upside of the rotary plate by a shaft(7) to rotate by a driving unit(9); and a detector(160) installed to the front of a roll to photograph the surface of the roll and display a photographed result.
