PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a position (an original position) for keeping levelness of a table 3, and also to keep the levelness with a center position as an original position even when a position of center of gravity of the table 3 is not equal to an intermediate position between ball screws 1 and 2. SOLUTION: A machine tool drives the table 3 attached to a gravity center shaft, using two ball screws and a servomotor, and is constituted in such a manner that a table 4 is moved on the table. Original position sensors attached at the same height in a vertical direction are provided near a two-shaft ball screw, and signals of the original position sensors are inputted to the servo amplifiers 3, and outputted to the servomotors 3 as position instruction corresponding to the original position sensor signals.
