POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS OF STEPPING MOTOR, AND DISK APPARATUS WITH THE POWER TRANSMISSION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform a smooth control when a motor is driven in a state that a power transmission route is switched to a heavy load side when both a drive source for light load operation and a drive source for heavy load operation commonly use one stepping motor. SOLUTION: This power transmission apparatus comprises the stepping motor 1 commonly used as both the power source of a light load pickup moving mechanism and the power source of a heavy load disk transfer mechanism. A power transmission route from the motor comprises a first route for substantially transmitting a power directly to the pickup moving mechanism, a switching means for switching the route with a second route for transmitting a power to the disk transfer mechanism through power transmission gear mechanisms 21, 22, 30, and 31, and a transmission prohibiting means for prohibiting the transmission of power from the stepping motor to the disk transfer mechanism in the initial period of the power transmission in the second route.
