PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set where a ringing section can freely be set and an incoming tone melody reproducing system of the portable telephone set. SOLUTION: A control part 2 controls an operation of the whole portable telephone set. A sound source system control part 6 controls a ringing operation such as selection of a driving start position, ringing time, a type and music of an incoming melody. A memory 7 stores sound source data obtained by storing incoming tone melody data and the like. An operation part 4 is an operation function part on an operation of the portable telephone set such as selection/setting of the incoming tone melody. A display part 3 displays various pieces of data on a telephone function of an arrival destination and a transmission destination in addition to data on information of the melody. A speaker 5 is a function part generating received sound and emitting the incoming tone melody. Thus, the ringing section of the incoming tone melody which a user has previously stored in the memory of the portable telephone set can freely be set. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
