PURPOSE:To secure a nonaqueous electrolyte battery capable of preventing the drop of battery performance caused by storage, by using a positive electrode black mixture added with a metallic halide for a positive electrode consisting of manganese dioxide as a main body. CONSTITUTION:In case of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery composed of a positive electrode consisting of a lithic negative electrode, an organic electrolyte and manganese dioxide as a main body, a metallic halide including halide copper etc., is added to a positive electrode black mixture within the range of about 5% or less in a weight ratio. In another manner, an electrolyte further added with salt dissolving the metallic halide, etc., into an organic electrolyte in advance is used. The nonaqueous electrolyte battery using this positive electrode is not only excellent in storage performance but also superior in the storage performance even after storage under the normal temperature and humidity. |
