Internal combustion engine comprises valves, which are all inlet valves (EV) in the form of coupled spring valves controlled only by pressure difference. The exhaust gas is removed through outlet slits (AS) arranged above the lower dead point. The cylinder head is designed as a pre-chamber for the combustion and scavenging air. The pre-chamber contains an air compressor driven via a crankshaft (KW) using a toothed belt. A turbocharger sits on the crankshaft. Exhaust gases and excess scavenging air are fed to the turbocharger. An injection nozzle located in the middle of the cylinder head is designed according to the principle of a flame cutter and simultaneously feeds fuel (in the center) and oxygen (around the outside).
